Making a choice can be scary. The more time you have stayed in one job before you change career fields will usually make you even more apprehensive. I have recently had to change career fields, just like a lot of Americans. In some cities it has become necessary to change your entire career path so that you can remain working.
Think of this as an second chance to go to work in a career path you always loved, but were to busy being practical to really consider. So how do you get going? The first thing you should do is take a personality test. Most state employment offices will be able to assist you in this. This test will give you an idea which new career fields best fit your interests and skills. Once you find something you enjoy, you will be able to focus on your training strategy.
